Celebration of the 65th birthday of Olle Eriksson.

The Amazonian Symposium on Physics (ASP) is a symposium intended to be regularly held by the Graduate Program in Physics at the Pará University.

This VIII Amazonian Symposium on Physics will be mainly focused on Condensed Matter Physics and year’s edition of the ASP is held in honor of Prof. Olle Eriksson (Uppsala University), and celebrates his outstanding contributions to science.

The VIII Amazonian Symposium on Physics is targeted for young researchers and graduate students in Physics wishing to learn about Condensed Matter Physics, from some of the world’s leading experts.

The VIII ASP will be held in the Belém Campus of the Federal University of Pará. In the gateway to Amazonia, the Belém Campus is located on the shore of the river Guamá, one of the rivers that form the Guajará Bay.
